France Gall Voice Models
About this character
Isabelle Geneviève Marie Anne Gall Berthier, better known as France Gall, was a beloved French singer, model, and actress. She initially rose to fame in the 1960s as a symbol of youthful kindness and irreverence, gaining international recognition at just seventeen when she won the Eurovision Song Contest representing Luxembourg with the song Poupée de cire, poupée de son, written and composed by Serge Gainsbourg. Throughout the 1960s and early 1970s, her popularity soared across Europe, particularly in Germany and Italy. In 1976, she married Michel Berger, who composed numerous successful hits for her, including Ella Elle l'a, which became a massive hit across Europe, the Americas (especially in Quebec, South America, and Brazil), and Asia (particularly in Japan). Despite battling breast cancer and enduring the tragic loss of her daughter in 1997, Gall remained resilient, ultimately retiring from her career to focus on humanitarian efforts in her later years.
